 Simek is a passionate marketing leader focused on building brands and creating newly differentiated customer value with a focus on elevating strategies for growth. She has extensive experience across global B2C and B2B organizations that led to a deep understanding and alignment of marketing to sales with a return on the marketing investment. She is a highly collaborative and driven leader, developing diverse teams and talent to grow and achieve their best. 

Simek currently works at TAKKT Foodservices, specializing in B2B omnichannel distribution serving the foodservice industry and markets, and is a part of the executive leadership team. Prior to TAKKT, she was at Ecolab, holding positions of increasing leadership responsibilities across various businesses, including marketing and communications leadership for the $2B Institutional business that delivers comprehensive cleaning and sanitation solutions for restaurants, hotels, education and commercial offices. Simek led the marketing function to build the brand and positioning, renovated the innovation pipeline to more customer-focused solutions. She led the return to recovery of the business in the pandemic with key sales activation efforts resulted in long term strength of the value and position in the market. She participated on Ecolab’s corporate global management and marketing leadership teams. Prior to Ecolab, she led a successful independent marketing consulting firm focused on addressing key marketing challenges and growth strategies for multinational companies. Previously, she worked at General Mills in various accounting, finance and strategic marketing and analytics roles. 

Simek currently serves the community as board member and strategic planning committee chair for The History Theatre. The History Theatre entertains, educates, and engages through creating, developing, and producing new and existing works that explore Minnesota’s past and the diverse American experience. 

Simek holds a BA degree in accounting from Michigan State University, and an MBA degree in marketing and strategy from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota.
