She possesses extensive experience acrossglobal B2C and B2B organizations, enabling her to align marketing strategies with sales objectives and ensure a return on marketing investment. She is recognized for her collaborative leadership style, fostering diverse teams and nurturing talent to achieve peak performance.
Currently, Simek serves as part of the executive leadership team at TAKKT Foodservices, specializing in B2Bomnichannel distribution within the foodservice industry. Prior to this role, she held various leadership positions at Ecolab, including overseeing marketing and communications for the $2B Institutional business, which provides comprehensive cleaning and sanitation solutions for sectors such as restaurants, hotels, education, and commercial offices. During her tenure at Ecolab, Simek spearheaded efforts to build the brand, enhance the innovation pipeline with customer-focused solutions, and drive the business’s recovery during the pandemic through key sales activation initiatives. She was also an active participant on Ecolab’s corporate global management and marketingleadership teams.
Before joining Ecolab, Simek successfully managed an independent marketing consulting firm, addressing critical marketing challenges and growth strategies for multinational companies. Earlier in her career, she held various roles at General Mills, focusing on accounting, finance, strategic marketing, and analytics.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Simek is committed to community service. She currently serves as a board member and strategic planning committee chair for The History Theatre, an organization dedicated to entertaining, educating, and engaging audiences by creating and producing works that explore Minnesota’s historical events and the diverse American experience.
Simek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and a Master of BusinessAdministration degree in Marketing and Strategy from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota.
